🌞🌙Year 5 Leadership Camp🌙 🌞
This week Year 5 students attended @thecollaroycentre for their Leadership camp with Mr Dabron and Mrs Young. This is an important calendar event for Year 5 as they prepare for their leadership roles next year. The range of activities, including the climbing wall, giant swing, high ropes, the drop pole, flying fox, laser tag and more provide students with opportunities for personal growth. They are also learning fundamental skills around communication, decision making, problem-solving, resilience, team building and leadership.

🧘‍♂️ ZING Activ movement specialists are here at SJB in Term 4 🧘‍♀️
Our students are participating in the @zing_activ wellbeing program this term. Using noise-cancelling technology to enhance meditation and mindfulness exercises, our students are loving the movement sessions with Miss Georgia.

Miss Georgia helps the students relax their minds and bodies, follow instructions, tests their memories, all leading to increased concentration and calm emotions.

Creating a safe and inclusive environment where children can learn self-regulation tools and strategies is so important. Thank you to our SJB parents and friends for raising funds to support these programs running in our school.

Today our Mission Team Leaders Chase R, Eli N, Rub

Today our Mission Team Leaders Chase R, Eli N, Ruby R and Mia R attended the Mission Mass with Ms Woods at Our Lady of the Rosary Cathedral, Waitara. The Mission Mass is a much-loved part of the CSBB calendar, where we celebrate the work of Catholic Mission, particularly World Mission Month.

Mission Sunday is always celebrated on the second last Sunday of October, uniting Catholics worldwide in prayer, solidarity, and support for the Church's mission efforts. This year’s theme, chosen by Pope Francis, is rooted in the Gospel of Matthew: “Go and Invite Everyone to the Banquet,” reflecting the inclusive and urgent call to bring God’s love to everyone.

This year 'Socktober' is raising awareness and funds for the Caring Center in Mongolia. The Caring Center provides a safe home for children who have been abandoned, are homeless, or are fleeing desperate situations.

Congratulations to our SJB Sports Representatives

Congratulations to our SJB Sports Representatives at the NSWPSSA State Athletics Championships this week.

🏅Scarlett P competed in the 11yrs 800m and ran an amazing race, finishing 4th in her heat. Scarlett coming in 23rd in the state overall - incredible!

🏅Billie K competed in the 11yrs High Jump clearing a PB of 1m35cm. Well done Billie, Amazing effort!

In other representative sporting news, Scarlett P made it through to the U12 Manly Touch Football Rep Team and will compete in the NSW State Cup.

Young Engineers Sydney Northern Suburbs - Australia bring their Bricks Challenge program to @sjbfreshie in Term4! Thank you to our wonderful P&F fundraising efforts this year, our students are using the basic principles of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) to 'think' like Engineers to build complex motorised machines using LEGO®, motors and batteries.
