St John the Baptist Parents and Friends Association has a dual purpose.
To foster the wellbeing and inclusiveness of the school community and raise funds to further enhance all students’ learning. Each year the P&F events significantly reflect this positive mix, by providing social occasions where parents and carers can meet, mingle and make friends; strengthening our school community in its core values; support school initiatives as well as, providing valuable resources for the whole school to enjoy.
The St John the Baptist P&F is solely delivered through the generosity of parent volunteers. The P&F Executive Members currently include Co- Presidents, Comms Officer, Treasurer and Diocesan Parent Council Represented. The P&F Executive Members are elected at the Annual General Meeting in Term Four each year. Any member of our school community can be nominated and elected into the executive positions if they so desire. St John the Baptist P&F is governed by the Parents & Friends Association Constitution of Broken Bay (2013). P&F meetings are conducted once per term and are a mix of social and school business.
Each year the P&F with the assistance of the Grade Parent volunteers organise events to continually strengthen and build our community such as;
- Family Welcome Picnic
- Welcome Night for all new and existing families
- Mother’s Day and Father’s Day celebrations
- Family Movie night
- Family Mass BBQ’s
- Family Christmas Carols
School Advisory Group
Our School Advisory Group meets with the School Principal to discuss matters relating to the progress of our school. The SAG members look at the strategic direction of the school and provide a parent’s voice to current future initiatives.
